Tara Schie, General Manager and Executive Chef

Going to school for Mechanical Engineering, Tara never dreamed that she would be working in the kitchen, let alone loving it. In 2012, she started helping out her mom, Chef Sherry, with in home catering and personal chef services. One event after another, Tara realized she had a niche and a joy for baking. Tara helped to open SHY Cellars with her family in 2013.

She is now the Executive Chef, Pastry Chef, and General Manager. She and her family have two passions: food and people. Her food beliefs are simple, using clean ingredients, exposing pure flavors, and finishing with perfect execution. When she’s not in the kitchen you will find her going on adventures with her daughter, at a Jazz Club, or heading to a Broadway Show.
